Dr. Elizabeth McNiel received her DVM from Texas A&M University and completed an internship in general medicine and surgery at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston. Dr. McNiel completed her residency training in Medical Oncology at Colorado State University. Subsequently, Dr. McNiel completed a PhD in carcinogenesis and residency training in radiation oncology at Colorado State as well.
Following her training, Dr. McNiel entered academia and held faculty positions at the University of Minnesota, Michigan State University, and Tufts University, where she participated in teaching, clinical oncology, and developed an independent research program in comparative oncology. Dr. McNiel was recruited to Indianapolis to work in Pharma R&D. She has now decided to make Indianapolis her permanent home and has returned to her passion for helping pets, with cancer, enjoy high quality of life.
