Dr. Kate Janczak was born just outside of the Windy City where she was raised to love deep dish pizza and Chicago sports (Go Cubs!). She graduated with bachelor’s degrees in both Spanish and Biology from Hope College, in Holland, Michigan before heading to the University of Illinois to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine. After graduating veterinary school in 2012, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at a large referral and emergency hospital in Mesa, Arizona before joining the team at VCA Alderwood Companion Animal Hospital. Dr. Janczak completed her certification in veterinary acupuncture in 2016 through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Kate shares her home with her two mischievous cats, Phoebe and Foxtrot, and one goofy Greyhound, Wyatt Earp. In her free time, she enjoys practicing yoga, playing volleyball, and baking.
