Mary Ellsworth, originally from California, received her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Education from San Francisco State University in 1999. Between 1997 and 2005, she worked as a technician in a variety of practices ranging from shelter medicine to critical care. Dr. Ellsworth then decided to attend Washington State University, receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2009. Following graduation, she completed a small animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at VCA Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle. In 2010, Mary became an emergency veterinarian at Alpine Animal Hospital. During her free time, Mary enjoys spending time with her multiple pets (2 pit bull terriers named Amelia and Big Pete and a greyhound named Mortimer), shopping for vintage clothing and furniture, yoga, and exploring Seattle.
