Yael Farah, Staff Veterinarian

Dr. Farah was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and was certain that she would one day become a veterinarian by the age of 3. Dr. Farah received her bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Arizona in Tucson. There, she found one of her biggest passions and hobbies: wildlife rescue and rehabilitation. This passion was carried over to her veterinary education at the University of Illinois, where she was an active volunteer of the Wildlife Medical Clinic. During her veterinary training, Dr. Farah also participated in research programs, one of which brought her all the way to Honolulu to study diseases in coral. Dr. Farah very much enjoys carrying over her wildlife experience and knowledge to our exotic patients here at Aspenwood.

It was not until her 2nd year in veterinary school that Dr. Farah was introduced to canine physical rehabilitation. Her geriatric pug had severe hip dysplasia and arthritis but with therapy, she gained years of comfort. Since graduating, Dr. Farah has focused her continued education on orthopedic conditions and rehabilitation to maximize her diagnostic and therapeutic abilities for animals in pain and disuse.

Dr. Farah moved to Denver in the Spring of 2015 and was very excited to join the Aspenwood team shortly after. She lives locally with her Husband Matt, Apollo the Dachshund, and Gus Gus the pug. In her spare time, she can be found at the dog park or in the mountains with her pups.
