Barbara Lowenstein joined the VCA team in 2016 and brings with her over ten years of valuable experience in marketing, client excellence and management of teams. Prior to becoming a Hospital Manager, Barbara was the founder and Chief Operating Officer of Loyal Pet Shop in Oakland, where she began her journey towards helping animals and providing excellent and knowledgeable service to pet owners. Barbara was instrumental in helping 48 rescue cats and kittens find loving local homes and was concurrently nominated as Best Pet Store by Oakland Magazine.
Barbara received her education in Psychology (B.S.) and a Master Degree in Marketing (MBA) from Drexel University in 2004. She loves supporting local animal rescues and cherishes spending time with her husband and adopted Shiloh Shepard Tiffany. Barbara was born in Tokyo, Japan but calls the East Bay her home now and is excited to contribute to the continued excellence of VCA Bay Area Animal Hospital.
