Our Story
At VCA Boulder Terrace Animal Hospital, we've helped pets live long, happy lives since 1977. We deliver the best medical care for pets and the best experience for pet owners. Our veterinarians, technicians and pet-friendly support staff are trained to the highest standards. Their thorough knowledge of the latest procedures and medicines ensures that our patients receive the best in preventative and healing care. 

Located in Naperville on Ogden Ave, we serve the following communities: Naperville, Lisle, Warrenville, Winfield, Oswego, Bolingbrook, West Chicago, Aurora, and Plainfield. Our veterinary hospital provides state-of-the-art medical services like wellness exams, preventative care, vaccines, diagnostic services, spay/neuter, advanced soft tissue surgery, and pet dentistry. We offer boarding services for cats, dogs, and some exotic pets as well as dog and cat bathing and grooming services.

    Anderson Animal Shelter has been saving lives and serving the Fox Valley region for more than 50 years. The shelter was incorporated in 1966 as the Humane Society of North Central Illinois. In 1971, our current shelter opened its doors on five acres of land along Route 31 in South Elgin, IL. In the 1980s, a generous donation from the Ivar and Ruth Anderson Anti Cruelty Trust prompted a name change to Anderson Animal Shelter.

  • Waifs and Strays Animal Rescue in Naperville

    Waifs & Strays Animal Rescue was founded October 23, 2008 under the name of Alex's Adoptable Angels (aka: AAA Animal Rescue). After numerous calls from stranded motorist calling looking for tow truck service, we decided we needed to change of name. Laura Deibel, the rescue's founder, wanted the name to reflect the needs of animals that really had been left alone in the world, for one reason or another. Laura chose the two words that best described these homeless animals, the two words were Orphans and Strays - not too catchy when put together - so after a search using the thesaurus for Orphans, the British word WAIFS popped up.
