Dr. Angela Kargus developed an early interest in animal care and veterinary medicine while growing up on her family's dairy farm in Wisconsin. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2001 and spent several years working in media and public relations prior to obtaining her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University in 2013.
Having been in practice for almost 10 years, Dr. Kargus has developed a special interest in the areas of small animal dermatology, internal medicine and the care of pets as they age. Previously practicing in Virginia and being involved in organized veterinary medicine, Dr. Kargus was honored in 2019 by the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association with its Recent Graduate Leadership Award.
Dr. Kargus shares her home with her husband, two English Springer Spaniels, two rescued Cocker Spaniels, and a Norwegian Forest Cat. In her free time, Dr. Kargus enjoys hiking, kayaking, traveling to National Parks, dog sports and cheering on the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers.
