Patients and Visitors

VCA Care Animal Hospital is a premier veterinary medical center, staffed by highly skilled veterinary specialists and medical staff. Our state of the art facility allows us to provide a comprehensive range of high quality, cost effective diagnostic services, specialty and emergency treatment and care for your pet - 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

While the cost of providing a high level of care to animals is a fraction of what it is for humans with similar conditions, we are aware that it can still be a significant, and usually unplanned expense for pet owners. We work with you to provide the best care for your situation and to minimize costs.

VCA Care Animal Hospital is committed to the well-being of your pet. Having provided quality care to over 30,000 pets in the last 10+ years, our staff has the depth you need when critical decisions have to be made. We will assess your pet’s condition and needs before discussing the range of procedures and solution treatments available to you. Due to the complex nature of some medical issues, it is not always possible for any doctor to accurately predict the outcome and exact costs before testing or treatments are performed.

After examination, we will present you with an estimate of services and associated costs to cover your pet’s apparent needs. If additional services or medicines are required, we will contact you with an update and confirm your approval for additional procedures. If your pet’s condition changes, we will contact you as soon as possible while taking steps which are considered necessary for life saving measures and will also keep your regular veterinarian informed.

Emergency Examination Fee
This includes a comprehensive examination of your pet and a consultation regarding the appropriate plan of action for both your pet and your family. Should further tests and treatments be required, these will incur additional costs. We will provide you with estimates and will not proceed without your authorization and approval.

Critical Care Deposit
We require a “critical care deposit” to cover the emergency exam fee plus any stabilizing procedures that must be performed immediately. Once your pet has been stabilized a doctor will be able to speak with you. If further tests or treatments are required, we will provide you with an estimate. Any portion of your deposit that is not used to cover the costs of treatment and services is always fully refunded.

Predetermined Euthanasia
Unfortunately, we sometimes must make the decision to let our pets go. If you have already determined that this option is right for your family, we will help you through the process with care, dignity and empathy.

VCA Care Animal Hospital works with the Humane Society and Guardian Animal Aftercare. We collect the payments for these organizations with no surcharge to our clients. Please inquire with our reception staff if you would like information regarding pricing and available services.

Payment Policy
Payment for services is due at the time the services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept cash, checks, money orders, ATM/debit, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. We also accept Care Credit, a medical credit card unrelated to Care Hospital. For details, please ask our reception staff.

VCA Care Animal Hospital does not offer its own financing or payment plans.

If you have pet insurance, we are happy to submit the paperwork for your reimbursement.
