Dr. Markee Kuschel graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1986 with a BS in microbiology, then received her veterinary degree from Colorado State University in 1990. After spending three years in Northern California, she moved back to Colorado and joined the team at Deer Creek Animal Hospital. Markee became a partner in 2000 and currently serves as Deer Creek’s Medical Director.
During her time at Deer Creek, Markee has been instrumental in the development and training of newer techniques in minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy). She has traveled around the world, training veterinarians in both private practices and universities in single port laparoscopy. Her areas of interest are feline medicine, soft tissue and laparoscopic surgery, and senior pet medicine.
Markee lives in the Littleton foothills with her husband, four dogs, and three cats. In her free time, she travels across the country to visit her two sons who live in Wisconsin.
