"I don't remember a time I've ever been without animals. Growing up, my siblings and I often took in lost strays and 'doctored' them until we could place them in forever homes. We raised a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, sheep, horses, goats, and hamsters. My parents instilled in me a respect for the smallest of creatures, and I strongly believe that our pets deserve the same level of care and attention from their doctors as we do. I came to veterinary medicine as a second career, after many years of being unable to give up my childhood dream. I attended veterinary school at the University of Tennessee while also nuturing a marriage and a family. I love talking to clients and helping them to understand what is happening with their pets. I strive to give my best effort to every patient that I see, and feel so honored that clients give me their trust. I do this work because I feel called, and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to practice a job that I love every day."
