Hye-Yeon Jang, Staff Veterinarian

DVM

Dr. Hye-Yeon Jang was born in Seoul, South Korea and grew up on the east coast of Canada in Halifax, Nova Scotia. With an innate connection and love for animals, she obtained her BSc in Biology before pursuing her lifelong dream to become a veterinarian. After graduating from Atlantic Veterinary College, she completed a small animal rotating internship in Washington, DC where she developed her love for the fast-paced and diverse nature of emergency medicine. Dr. Jang is thrilled to join the team at VCA Family & Oahu Veterinary Specialty Center!

Outside of work, Dr. Jang enjoys anything and everything outdoors, particularly running, hiking, and surfing. She also has a great love for travelling, cooking, and gardening and is a strong advocate for sustainable living. She currently resides in Honolulu and her home wouldn’t be complete without Tribs, a spunky senior bull terrier who she adopted during vet school.
