Dr. Howard Blatt has worked in the veterinary field for over 40 years. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences in 1972 and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University in 1974. Early in his career he did an internship at Texas A&M University. He has since worked in laboratory animal medicine at several universities and research facilities. After moving to Austin in the mid 1990’s, he worked as a relief veterinarian for two years before obtaining a permanent veterinary position at a local general practice.
Dr. Blatt also has alternated as President, Vice President, and Secretary of the Capital Area Veterinary Association for the past ten years. He served for five years on the Austin Humane Society Board of Directors. For the past two years he has been the Mayor’s representative on the Animal Advisory Board for Austin.
Dr. Blatt attends multiple continuing education lectures and classes each year and tries to bring the highest quality and latest medical procedures to all his patients.
