Colin C. Berg grew up and pursued the majority of his education in southern Wisconsin. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and completed his veterinary training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After receiving his DVM, Dr. Berg worked as a veterinary intern at the Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center to gain experience in emergency medicine. 

He is excited to join the VCA Hollywood team to continue practicing emergency medicine and further develop his medical and surgical skills, as well as to gain further experience with preventative medicine. 

Dr. Berg's primary clinical interest is in wildlife and zoo animal medicine. He has experience with previous areas of research with infections in chinchillas and neurological evaluation in hedgehogs. During his time in vet school Dr. Berg briefly joined a big game capture team in South Africa and worked at a primate research center. Dr. Berg hopes to continue his training and specialize in zoo animal medicine. Outside of the VCA, Dr. Berg enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons, learning about natural history, and scuba diving.
