Dr. BukhaNova was born and raised outside the US in a small country, Belarus. She has worked with animals for the majority of her life, starting at a horse stable as a barn hand in her youth and eventually transitioning to small animal medicine where she worked as a veterinary technician for six years, prior to attending veterinary school.
She attended Ross University School of Veterinary medicine with the encouragement and inspiration from Dr. Wise, graduating the highest distinction at the top of her class with summa cum lade as well as with the recognition of Phi Zeta Honor Veterinary Society. While attending veterinary school, her focus was in parasitology research, and surgery.
Dr. Nova's special interests include point-of-care ultrasound, trauma, respiratory distress, cardiac emergencies, endocrine emergencies as well as the occasional work with exotic pets. Improving and solidifying her knowledge and skills are her ongoing passion. During her spare time, Dr. Nova is an avid motorcyclist and enjoys all sorts of adventures.
