Doctor Keith Pflum first joined Lafayette Veterinary Hospital as an extern while he was a senior veterinary student at Purdue in 1975. During that time, his and wife Pamela's first child was born. After graduation, the Pflum family briefly moved to South Bend, returning to Lafayette and Lafayette Veterinary Hospital in December 1976. Dr. Pflum partnered as owner with Drs. Pickett and Portman and later Dr. David Bough for many years. After joining VCA in 2003, the practice became VCA Lafayette Animal Hospital, where Dr. Pflum has remained. He served as medical director for several years and now continues as a staff veterinarian. Keith and Pam Pflum have three grown children and enjoy their five grandchildren and cats and dog. Dr. Pflum's hobbies include gardening, genealogy and history, while wife Pamela is a retired teacher with many interests including sewing, cooking, gardening, and volunteering at Sunnyside Middle School.
