Hospital Overview

Welcome to VCA Lindley Animal Hospital. Though one of the smaller hospitals in the VCA family, we pride ourselves in providing you with the one-on-one attention that is so rare in business today; with the added advantage of the full resources of VCA's national network of over 600 hospitals backing our thriving two-doctor hospital. With our comforting, friendly environment, we're able to ensure that you and your pet have a positive experience every time you visit. At the same time, it is important to know that we're constantly growing to meet your pet's changing needs. We're totally committed to providing you with great customer service, just as we've always done during the 50+ years we've served your community. Dr. Joe Lindley and his entire staff truly believe every patient that comes through our door should be treated as if they were our very own. Maintaining that philosophy is what sets us apart from all the others and has made us one of the most successful practices in the Lake Highlands area. Besides, that's just what you should expect from a first-rate staff. After all, we are a strong and committed team with the experience and know-how to skillfully care for your beloved furry family member. Welcome to our family!

Local Medical Issues

There are numerous local medical issues that can impact your pet's health and that require your attention over the entire year. For example, there's heartworm, which can affect both cats and dogs. Because it's transmitted by mosquitoes, which thrive in our region, it's a serious cause for concern. And because the winter temperatures here do not get cold enough to kill mosquito eggs, it's a year-round risk. The same is true for flea and tick infestation and intestinal parasites, each of which poses a problem in any season. And finally, contrary to what you'd expect, allergies are a year-round issue. Many pets suffer from skin and ear allergies, the signs of which include scratching, redness in the ears, and "scaly" skin.
