Born and raised in the valley, Dr. Mendolia attended Mountain View High School in Mesa and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Florida (Go Gators!) in 2004. She then completed an externship at the Phoenix Zoo as well as a small internship and radiology fellowship at VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center in Mesa. Dr. Mendolia enjoys all aspects of general practice but is especially interested in preventative medicine, nutrition, diagnostic imaging, and internal medicine. She has been working at VCA McCormick Ranch Animal Hospital since 2005. Outside of work, Dr. Mendolia enjoys watching sporting events and is a fan of both the Arizona Cardinals and the Arizona Diamondbacks. She is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys traveling, camping, fishing, golfing, and outdoor photography (amateur). She currently lives in Mesa with her husband Richie and her high energetic Mini Australian Shepherd, Bogey, whom she plans to start agility training with soon.
