Hospital Manager

Originally from the Madison area, I've called Milwaukee home for about 12 years now and love it!  I'm passionate about servant leadership, helping serve people in my community to meet their needs - this passion led me to working over 15 years in the healthcare and hospitality industries. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in Healthcare Administration and am currently completing my Masters in Business Administration come 2020.

Even though my past experience had been working with people in the healthcare field for many years, my personal passion has always been animals - all shapes, sizes and species. So you can just imagine how excited I am to be living my passion working in the veterinary medicine profession now! I love empowering people on their pet's healthcare and educating pet owners on how to keep their 4-legged family members happy and healthy.  I believe in VCA's mission and vision and am honored to be part of the VCA MECA team!

When I'm not working and in school, I share my home with my husband Nate, our two cats, Dexter and Smudge, along with our American Bulldog, Capone.   I love to cook and just recently taught myself how to crochet; I'm also an avid movie goer as well as a football fanatic. College football Saturdays at the Young house is a tradition and also a house divided, with battle cries heard, 'Go Badgers & Roll Crimson Tide'!
