Molly Kalany, Staff Veterinarian

Dr. Molly Kalany was born and raised on a Guernsey dairy farm in Canton, MO. She received her BS in Agriculture majoring in biochemistry. She then earned her MS in the nutrition area studying the role of copper and zinc in the body. After completing her MS, she attended veterinary college at the University of Missouri in Columbia.

Dr. Kalany enjoys medicine, surgery, nutrition, and dermatitis. Pets are a very important part of our lives and caring for them is her passion. Her goal is to keep them healthy from the day they are adopted on into their old age. Starting a puppy out on the right foot is a big part of her job, as well as making sure those feet are pain-free and active for as long as possible. Seeing pets, their families and their bond, shows her that she is where she needs to be!

She married her husband Frank and moved to Marietta, Georgia, where she is grateful to have lived her entire veterinary career. She has three adult children: Megan, a fifth-grade teacher, Alex an engineer, and Michelle who is currently attending Georgia State University to study accounting.

Dr. Kalany has a male 12-year-old Maine Coon rescue cat named Spot. Spot was the companion to Katie, her 16-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, before she passed away.

When she is not catering to Spot’s needs, she enjoys gardening, hiking the AT, traveling, book club, and participating in the Peachtree Road Race.
