Before moving to the West Coast in 2020, Makenzie worked at a VCA in Minnesota, where she is originally from. She obtained her BS in Art with a minor in Companion Animals from the University of Wisconsin in River Falls. After about a year and a half in California, her love for animals and her desire to help people brought her back to VCA. She started at VCA North Coast in June of 2021 as a Client Service Representative. Professionally, she is interested in becoming Fear Free certified.
Makenzie has a 5 ½ year old sassy rabbit named Smalls whom she adopted at 8 months old. She is currently furthering her education with the goal of a Marriage & Family Therapy degree. In her spare time, she blows glass, rock climbs at local gyms, and loves to hang out at the beach.
