Monica Madera, Veterinarian


Dr. Monica Madera is originally from Arlington, VA. She graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Virginia Tech in 2012 and obtained her DVM from Virginia Tech in 2016. Following graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, MD. From there she moved to Waynesboro, VA to complete an internship in wildlife medicine and surgery with the Wildlife Center of Virginia. She began work with North Country Animal Health Center in the summer of 2018 ready to utilize her experiences to work with the pets and people of Watertown as well as the native wildlife and Thompson Park Zoo and Conservancy. Her professional interests include wildlife medicine and ophthalmology. Outside of work she enjoys swimming, hiking, and cycling.
