Dr. Malia Goodell received her veterinary degree from Colorado State University after completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Southern California. She performed her Internship at VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists after obtaining her DVM degree. Because she loved the faced paced nature and variety of ER medicine elected to stay on as Staff ER doctor in 2016 and is now an associate DVM in our Emergency and Critical Care department.

Originally from Kaneohe, Hawaii, Dr. Goodell now resides in Portland with her husband, a pit bull mix named Ranger (aka the most handsome dog in the world) and their cat Sky, who is equally personable. When she is not at work, Dr. Goodell enjoys traveling, hiking, backpacking, surfing - tries to spend as much time as possible outdoors.
