Your Community Partners

Caring for pets means meeting a wide range of needs beyond health care. Fortunately, there’s a whole community of organizations and businesses eager to help.

Here’s where to meet the local groups that we recommend to our pet-loving families.

ASPCA Poison Control Hotline

ASPCA Poison Control Center Hotline

The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center is staffed 24 hours with veterinary health professionals who have been specially trained in veterinary toxicology. If you think that your pet may have ingested a potentially poisonous substance, call the ASPCA 24 hour emergency Animal Poison Control Center hotline at (888) 426-4435.

Operation Catnip Voucher Program

Operation Catnip operates a voucher program where feral and free-roaming unowned cats are sterilized at participating local veterinary clinics. Vouchers are $50 per cat and include sterilization, rabies and distemper vaccines, ear crop and pain medication.  There is also a way to donate vouchers for those that are unable to afford them, such as those on a fixed income.
