Nikki Harris, Hospital Manager

Nikki is originally from Ormond Beach, FL. She attended college at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL where she obtained her bachelor's degree in biology in 2009.  She moved to North Carolina in 2015 with her husband who is medically retired from the Navy. In 2018, after teaching for 9+ years she wanted to go back to school and get licensed in Veterinary Technology and eventually move into Practice Management. She currently attends St. Petersburg College out of Tampa, FL.  She does everything online under the supervision of both doctors and Rachel, RVT.  She is set to graduate in August and take the VTNE in September. She was promoted to hospital manager in October 2019. She loves being there for the hospital and our clients. She has 5 pets of her own: 2 dogs Buster and Lexi, and three cats Kane, Rex, and Ozzie. Her and her husband share a passion for fish, and they have a 60-gallon fish tank as well. Nikki has been apart of the NC State Turtle Rescue group and has fostered box turtles that have been injured or hit by a car. She is also currently fostering a rabbit for the SPCA, named Cedar. When Nikki isn't helping sick or injured animals, you can typically find her at a hockey rink cheering on her husband or volunteering with North Carolina Warrior's disabled veteran's hockey league. Her husband founded this organization in 2019. She also travels around with her husband and cheers on his youth travel hockey team that he coaches. Nikki also enjoys many sports outside of hockey such as football and soccer. She has recently taken up roller blading and bike riding. She loves spending time at home with her pets and stepson, Ashton.
