Dr. Lawrie grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, and received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Delaware in 2003. She then traveled down south to attend Veterinary School at the University of Georgia. Dr. Lawrie graduated in 2007 and moved to New York City to do a small animal rotating internship at The Animal Medical Center.

Her family includes her husband, Rob, who is the Medical Director at VCA Old Marple Animal Hospital in Pennsylvania. Together they have 3 children, Jackson, Finlay, and Isla. They also have 2 dogs, Claire, a 13-year-old Lab, and Abby, an 11-year-old bulldog.

In her spare time Dr. Lawrie loves to spend time with her family and watch Georgia Football, GO DAWGS!!!!
