Barbara Terway, Hospital Manager

Barbara began her career in the Veterinary field in April of 2003 as a Receptionist and Accounts Receivable Specialist with our sister hospital VCA Elgin Family Pet Center. She quickly advanced her knowledge to become one of their skilled Veterinary Technicians. Barbara left them for a brief time 2007 to work in an ophthalmology specialty hospital in Tampa Florida but, returned in 2008 and quickly become their Hospital Manager. She played a key role in their successful AAHA accreditation they received in 2009. Over the past several years she has successfully completed extensive management and statistical analysis training specifically for Veterinary Hospitals. 

Barbara joined VCA Premier Animal Hospital and Pet Resort Family in the summer of 2019, taking on the role of Hospital Manager. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge that can be used to continue the excellence we strive for here. 

When Barbara is not busy coordinating the operations of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her three children and her extended canine and feline family.
