Dr. Henricks is a very experienced small animal internist. He received his veterinary degree from The Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan in 1982. He then completed a rotating small animal internal medicine/surgery internship at the Animal Hospital of Regina in Saskatchewan, followed by a residency in small animal internal medicine at The Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. After his residency, Dr. Henricks held an appointment as an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, and then as an emergency clinician at Academy Emergency Veterinary Facilities in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Since 1988 he has been working in specialty practices in Massachusetts. Paul became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in the subspecialty of Small Animal Internal Medicine in 1989.
Dr. Henricks has special interests in gastroenterology, endocrinology, hematology, and dermatology, as well as specialized training in abdominal and thoracic (non-cardiac) ultrasound and rigid endoscopy. Dr Henricks also offers abdominal ultrasound examinations and the diagnosis and management of hormonal problems in ferrets.
