Dr. Jonathan Plenn joined SEPAH in the Fall of 2014 after two years working in the Portland area as a general practitioner. He is a 2011 graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine and completed his small animal medical/surgical internship at VCA West Los Angeles in 2012 prior to moving to Oregon. Dr. Plenn is a southern New Jersey native, growing up 40 minutes from the 'shore' and 15 minutes outside of Philadelphia. He completed his undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, and subsequently spent one year working as a veterinary technician in his home town, and one year as a laboratory technician in New York City prior to being accepted to veterinary school. It is in veterinary school that Dr. Plenn met his wife (and fellow veterinarian) Dr. Michelle Cook. They currently live in SE Portland, and share their home with Tigger the cat (grey tabby) and Lobo the dog (Husky/Cattle dog x). When not working at SEPAH, Dr. Plenn enjoys hiking/running the trails of Portland with Michelle and Lobo, reading/movie watching on the couch with Tigger, futzing with unfinished woodworking projects, and exploring the many wondrous food concoctions the city has to offer. Areas of interest: Ultrasonography, Pain management.
