Blood chemistry analyzer

Blood Chemistry & Urine Analyzers

Our veterinary pathology specialists have access to blood chemistry and urine analyzers which perform evaluation of major organ functions. These tests allow rapid diagnosis of conditions affecting the liver and kidneys and can make an expedient diagnosis of conditions such as diabetes. These tests are indicated in any ill animal and are also performed prior to anesthesia or surgery to evaluate general health.

For our non-emergency surgeries we typically collect a sample of your pet's blood and submit to a state-of-the art laboratory for a comprehensive blood chemistry analysis. Results are returned to us in less than 24 hours.

But if we need immediate results, we are equipped with an in-house laboratory capable of running the majority of tests needed to evaluate vital functions such as those of the liver and kidneys, and make an expedient diagnosis of conditions such as diabetes.

These tests are indicated in any ill animal and are also performed prior to anesthesia or surgery to evaluate general health. These exams allow us to provide an anesthesia tailored to your pet's general health, increasing the safety during a complex surgery.

In-house STAT laboratory

Our hospital is equipped with an In-House Stat Laboratory that allows us to quickly perform most diagnostic tests to achieve an accurate and rapid diagnosis in emergency cases.

The immediate results yielded by the in-house laboratory also allow continued post-operative monitoring of vital functions, shall your pet's condition require.
This is especially important in very ill or critical patients, and those with unstable metabolic status.

These tests are indicated in any ill animal and are also performed prior to anesthesia or surgery to evaluate general health. These exams allow us to provide an anesthesia tailored to your pet's general health, increasing the safety during a complex surgery.
