Dr. Puksta, Associate Veterinarian

From a young age, Dr. Puksta recognized that there are advances being made every day in animal care and longevity, and she wanted to be a part of it. After obtaining a degree in Psychology from Eckerd College, she went back to school to achieve her degree in Biology and attend Veterinary School at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has now worked at VCA Stafford Oaks Animal Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian for twelve years.

Dr. Puksta grew up in southern Oregon. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and then went to Louisiana State University for her clinical rotations. She started practicing veterinary medicine in Washington State before moving to the area for her husband’s job in 2007.

Pain and arthritis treatments are Dr. Puksta’s “hobbies” within the veterinary medicine world. She enjoys multi-modality treatment options and the many advances in pain management therapies.

Dr. Puksta’s husband is a distribution and transmission lineman. They have a 16-year-old daughter and 2 spoiled French Bulldogs. The family loves the outdoors and stays active by traveling, riding UTV’s and spending time in the hill country.
