Dr. Dianne Beal is excited to join the team as medical director at VCA Turco Animal Hospital. Originally from upstate NY, Dr. Beal earned her undergraduate degree from the College of St. Rose in Albany and a Masters in Cell Biology at East Carolina University. After a career in research she returned to school to follow her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She obtained her DVM from Iowa State University and completed a portion of her training in the UK. Following graduation, Dr. Beal completed a small animal internship with a heavy focus on emergency medicine at Regional Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield, VA, and has worked in small animal practice in CT since her return. Dianne truly loves helping not only pets but the people who care for them. While she enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine, she has a soft spot for her older patients and has an interest in dermatology.
Dr. Beal now resides in North Stonington with her husband, Clayton (a retired CG officer), their beloved hound Dobby, pit bull, Rosie, and their cats Holstein and Puck. In her spare time Dianne enjoys exploring the outdoors, belly dance, good books and movies, and making and selling jewelry.Read More
