Dr. Lisa Duddy is originally from Long Island, NY.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stony Brook University in 2014.  She then attended Ross University receiving her   Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine after completing her clinical year of study at Purdue University in Indiana. Dr Duddy then completed a one-year rotating internship at Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center of Westbury and has joined  the VREC Westbury team as a staff doctor on the emergency service.

Dr. Duddy has wanted to work with animals her entire life.  She started her career path volunteering at various animal shelters in high school and college and worked as a veterinary assistant her last two years of undergraduate study. She has always loved  helping animals and is excited that she can continue to do that throughout her veterinary career as an Emergency doctor.  

Dr. Duddy's special interests include trauma, wound care, sepsis, and cardiology. When not in the hospital Dr. Duddy enjoys hiking, reading, running, and traveling  and spending time with her  two Caribbean pets, a cat named Lucy and Lola,  a "Coconut Retriever".
