Dr. Raymond was born and raised in Massachusetts. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 2005. During vet school she worked alongside some of the leaders in exotic animal medicine through many externships. After graduation, Dr. Raymond practiced general, exotic animal and emergency medicine in the Florida Keys. While in Florida she donated some of her time volunteering at the Marathon Sea Turtle Hospital and the Marathon Wild Bird Center. Dr. Raymond relocated to Massachusetts in the Summer of 2007. Besides her special interest in exotics, she also enjoys soft tissue surgery and internal medicine.
Although she loves working with dogs and cats, Dr. Raymond also has extensive experience in all types of reptiles, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, hamsters, birds and many other species. Dr. Raymond enjoys spending her spare time with her husband, three children, four tortoises and two dogs.
