Dr. Kirk Wendelburg obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Florida in 1982, following this immediately with a one-year internship and a three-year residency at The Ohio State University. He attained board certification in 1989, becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, and founded Animal Specialty Group in March, 1990.

Steven received his BA in Administrative Science with a minor in Finance from The Ohio State University in 1981. After relocating from Ohio to California he became a Certified Public Accountant and worked in public accounting for the national firm of Ernst & Whinney (currently known as Ernst & Young).
