VCA Peone Pines Animal Hospital

Our Story

Welcome to VCA Peone Pines Animal Hospital, where our team of passionate veterinarians is dedicated to the well-being of your cherished pets. Established in 1972 in Mead, WA, our recently renovated facility is a testament to our commitment to providing top-notch veterinary care. We extend our care to exotic patients and offer same-day urgent care appointments, recognizing the importance of prompt attention to unexpected health concerns.

Dr. Sinclair, our esteemed medical director, brings a wealth of experience and a special passion for dentistry to our practice. With a focus on comprehensive and compassionate care, Dr. Sinclair leads the way in ensuring that your pets receive the highest standard of medical attention.

Working alongside Dr. Sinclair are associate veterinarians Dr. Pyrdek, Dr. Morely, and Dr. Goins. Dr. Pyrdek, with a deep passion for treating exotic pets, ensures that our scaled, feathered, and furred friends receive the specialized care they need. Dr. Morely has rejoined our team, bringing her love for behavioral evaluations and surgical procedures. She is also a dedicated puppy raiser for guide dogs for the blind, adding a unique perspective to our practice. Dr. Goins, with her focus on nutrition, preventative care, and integrative veterinary medicine, is committed to enhancing the health and well-being of every patient she sees. Together, they provide a range of services, including exotic animal care, preventive care, emergency care, digital radiology, digital dental radiographs, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser treatments, utilizing the latest in veterinary technology. For our rabbit patients, we host RHVD2 vaccination days to protect them from rabbit hemorrhagic disease.

In our commitment to education, Dr. Sinclair, Dr. Pyrdek, Dr. Morely, and Dr. Goins actively host DVM students, providing a hands-on learning experience in a real-world clinical setting. This dedication ensures that the next generation of veterinarians receives top-quality instruction, preparing them for successful careers in animal health care.

Our entire team, including our three licensed veterinary technicians and Fear Free Certified support staff, is here to create a positive and stress-free environment for your pets. At VCA Peone Pines Animal Hospital, we pride ourselves on being more than just a veterinary hospital—we are a compassionate community dedicated to building lasting relationships with our clients and their beloved animal companions.

Thank you for entrusting Dr. Sinclair, Dr. Pyrdek, Dr. Morely, Dr. Goins, and the entire team at VCA Peone Pines Animal Hospital with the care of your pets.
