At the Toms River Animal Hospital, we love our pets. They're not just our pets, they're our family. Our patient care team's over 200 furry, feathery and scaly family members include more than 80 dogs, 90 cats and 40 exotics.

Dr. Reimer attended Cook College, Rutgers University for her undergraduate and earned her DVM at University of Tennessee. She did her internship and residency at Virginia Tech. She became board certified in small animal internal medicine in 1999. She is kept busy by her family, dog and 4 cats. Dr. Reimer joined the staff of Toms River Animal Hospital in 2001. Over the past 13 years, she has proven to be an integral part of our veterinary team. So integral, in fact, that in January 2015, she was named as the new Medical Director.
Shelby has been a member of the VCA family since 2016, when she joined the Toms River Animal Hospital team as a Client Service Representative. She quickly grew into a leadership role when she was promoted to CSR Supervisor at Bayview Animal Hospital in 2017; then in 2018 she returned to Toms River as CSR Supervisor. Her incredible leadership and organizational skills led her to another promotion to Office Manager in 2019, and then she naturally progressed to Hospital Manager in 2021.
