Dr. Sophia earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in 2014. After graduation she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she completed an equine internship at a full-service equine hospital. She has experience working at a large animal practice as well as cat and dog hospitals.
In 2015 Dr. Sophia became certified by Colorado State University to perform acupuncture in all species. Acupuncture is a passion of hers and she has offered acupuncture on many different species ranging from chickens to horses, and of course, cats and dogs. Additionally, she is also USDA accredited.

After obtaining her English degree from UC Davis, Liz spent 10 years backpack traveling overseas and working seasonally while living and working in various states, national parks, ski resort, and cruise ships. Settling down in Corvallis, Oregon, Liz started a long history of nonprofit employment, beginning with an animal shelter. Finding this work rewarding, Liz added three more animal welfare organizations to her management repertoire in Nevada when she moved to this fine state in 2003 with two old black labs, 10 cats and two horses and then earned a certificate in grant writing from TMCC and shared that expert...
