Dr. Julie LaRue grew up in Montreal, Canada, before moving to San Diego, California, during her teenage years. After completing her undergraduate studies at San Diego State University, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences and her Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health.
She joined VCA in June 2024 and has been practicing in San Antonio, Texas, for the past four years.
Her professional passion lies in making a positive impact on her community by helping people and their pets.
Outside of work, Dr. LaRue enjoys reading with her monthly book club and spending time with her husband, two young children, and their three pets: Annie, a golden retriever, and two cats, Travis and Phoebe.
