Animals can develop vomiting or diarrhea for many reasons, ranging from eating something that didn’t agree with them to a life-threatening gastrointestinal obstruction. Appropriate testing by a veterinarian is essential to determine the cause of the issue and the best course of treatment.
When to visit VCA Urgent Care
Your pet has vomited more than two times in a 24-hour period
Your pet is anorexic or lethargic
Your pet has had multiple episodes of soft or watery stools
You see blood in your pet’s stool
When to seek emergency care
We recommend visiting an emergency hospital if your pet is experiencing any of the following:
