The Barkley Pet Hotel & Day Spa offers both large & small Doggie Day Camp in our indoor/outdoor cage-free environment designed for social dogs to play and have fun. Day Camp provides a wonderful outlet for excess energy, exercise and socialization for your pet. Safety is our primary goal; therefore each dog must complete a Day Camp Evaluation before being accepted into camp. Once placed in a camp, our trained staff monitors safe play between the dogs. You can view your dog playing in Day Camp using our online webcams.
For your pet to be accepted into our Doggie Day Camp you will need to:
- Complete a Pet Profile Form.
- Complete a Day Camp Evaluation Form.
- Dogs must be at least 12 weeks of age and have completed their vaccinations for DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, Canine Influenza, and Leptospirosis.
- Dogs must be spayed or neutered (except puppies under 6 months of age).
- Complete & Pass Day Camp Evaluation ($40).
- Be deemed "safe for play."
The following breeds will only be admitted to Day Camp after a phone interview and evaluation with our Daycamp Evaluators: Pit Bulls, Bull Mastiffs, English Mastiffs, Akitas, Chow Chows, Shar-Peis, American Bulldogs, Cane Corsos, Presa Canerios, Bull Terriers, Boerboels, Belgium Malinois, French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, and American Staffordshire Terriers. In addition, The Barkley Pet Hotel & Day Spa will evaluate mix breeds mentioned above to determine if they are suitable for Day Camp on a case-by-case basis.
Every dog admitted into our camp area requires a behavior and temperament evaluation. The safety and comfort of every dog entering our camp area is our top priority and we reserve the right to restrict admittance into day camp at any time. If for any reason your dog does not attend our day camp for a year or more, a re-evaluation will be required. Evaluations must be completed prior to boarding stay.
