Policies

Thank you for choosing VCA Premier Pet Resort for your pet. Our resort is a full service spa that provides professional and compassionate grooming, boarding and day care services for all of our guest needs.

Payments

Payment in full is required at time of discharge. A deposit may be required to make a reservation during high volume boarding times like weekends and holidays or for extended boarding. Rates are calculated on a daily basis and are charged by the number of days in our care.

Vaccines

All pets are required to be fully vaccinated prior to arrival. Any vaccines that are expired will be updated while your pet is here. Please be aware that some vaccines will require an examination prior to administration. If your pet was vaccinated by another facility you must provide a printed current vaccination record at time of check in.

Required Canine Vaccines: Rabies, Bordetella, K9 flu, and Distemper/Parvo
Required Feline Vaccines: Rabies and FVRCP (feline distemper)

Parasite Treatment

All pets entering our boarding facility must be free from parasites, including fleas and ticks. If your pet is found to have fleas, a cap star will be administered and a bath will be given. If your pet is found to have a tick, we will attempt to remove it, but if there are numerous ticks, a flavored Simparica chew will be given. If we find parasites in your pet’s bowel movements, appropriate medicine will be given. All of the above will be done at the owner’s expense.

Bedding & Supplies

For our guests, we provide all bedding, bowls and toys. We strongly discourage any personal belongings being brought with your pet. In the event that you would like to bring your own personal belongings, please know we WILL NOT be held responsible for any damage or loss of these items.

*Please limit toys to 1 per pet.

**VCA Premier strongly advises against allowing pets who chew to have any material that could be readily damaged during their visit. This helps reduce the risk of pet(s) ingesting foreign material that could lead to serious, even fatal, complications.

If your pet is known to be destructive or ingest foreign materials, please do not authorize bedding for your pet. If they do start to chew bedding it will be removed as soon as possible.

*Kennel bedding includes cots, blankets, and mats.

Dietary Needs

Your pet will be fed a balanced low fat diet of Royal Canin Gastrointestinal kennel food. You may bring your own food if your pet has a preferred diet and to avoid any GI upset due to changes in your pet's diet.

Medications

All medications must have clear label instructions and be in their original pill bottles/containers. We cannot accept medications in a second container or zip lock bags.

*A daily medication fee will apply.

Separation of Multiple Pets

In the event of injuries inflicted as a result of multiple pets boarding together in a single run, VCA Premier Animal Hospital & Pet Resort will not be held liable. The pets will be separated and any fees associated with medical treatment or additional boarding costs will be provided at the owner’s expense.

Abandonment

Please notify us immediately if there are any changes to your pet’s scheduled release date. According to abandonment laws, your pet is considered abandoned if you or your agent cannot be reached within 14 days of your pet's scheduled departure. Please be advised that the pet owner will be responsible for the fees accrued and any other fees or legal services incurred by the VCA Premier Animal Hospital & Pet Resort as a result of the abandonment.
