Heather Raymond

Emergency Veterinarian

Dr. Heather Raymond joined VCA East Bay Veterinary Emergency as an emergency veterinarian in 2026. Originally from Concord, California, she completed both her undergraduate and doctoral studies at the University of California, Davis, earning her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science in 2021 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2025.

Driven by a deep commitment to high-quality patient care, Dr. Raymond thrives in the fast-paced environment of emergency medicine. She is passionate about expanding access to care and has developed specialized clinical interests in emergency and critical care, soft tissue surgery, and neurology. To provide her patients with advanced life-saving treatment, she is also actively pursuing her RECOVER veterinary CPR certification. For Dr. Raymond, the most rewarding part of her job is serving as a reassuring, supportive presence for families during stressful times.

Outside of work, Dr. Raymond loves spending time with Luka, her 13-year-old Shepherd/Malamute mix. To unwind, she enjoys getting lost in a good book or hiking along the scenic trails of the Bay Area.
