Your Visit
We're looking forward to seeing you.

Each visit gives your pet the world class medicine you expect, from the hometown care team supporting you every step of the way.

We begin preparing for your visit during your initial call, setting you and your pet up in our software system, contacting your regular veterinarian to obtain your pet's records (if applicable), and providing your concerns about your pet to our medical team by listing you on our internal Triage Board.

Upon arrival, you'll be checked in and visited soon after by one of our pet nurses, who will get an expanded history and complete a visual assessment of your pet that will help our medical team determine if your pet needs to be seen ahead of more stable pets that may already be in our hospital. If your pet is displaying certain concerns or symptoms, we may call the medical team for an immediate STAT response.

During your visit, there may be wait times, and in many cases, we can admit your pet and let you return home or elsewhere, provided you can be contacted by phone. Please let our team know if this is a need for you.

Our medical team will review any recommended services with you in advance of performing them, though in rare cases, immediate basic lifesaving measures may begin while our discussions occur.

Payment for services is expected upon completion of your pet's care at each visit. In addition to mainstream forms of payment, we are proud to showcase our partnership with CareCredit, an independent medical and veterinary care financing plan (click here to apply). And we always encourage pet owners to explore pet insurance, such as Trupanion.

A Stress-Free Trip to the Veterinarian

We know that for many pets, a visit to the veterinarian can be stressful!

To help them feel at ease, please let us know if your pet is shy or stressed around other animals.

Also, be sure to keep them on a leash or in a carrier while visiting the hospital. If you need a cat carrier, we’ll happily bring one to your car!

The use of dog and cat-specific pheromones has been proven to reduce Fear, Anxiety, and Stress (FAS) in many pets. Upon arrival in our hospital, we will offer all dogs a bandana to wear during the visit that has been treated with ThunderEase®, and for cats, we will offer to drape a small fleece blanket over their carrier during your visit that has been treated with Feliway®. Both products have been successful in putting many pets at ease while visiting us!
