Our team at VCA River Road Animal Clinic understands how important your pet’s health and well-being is to your family. Monday through Saturday we offer Urgent Care and Emergency Care and believe in offering you high quality, comprehensive options. We aim to be an available supplement to your regular veterinarian’s care and are also happy to provide wellness needs if you don’t have one.
We are situated in a convenient location for a long list of communities surrounding us – in addition to the Salem and Keizer residents, we are also here for pet owners from Albany, Woodburn, Silverton, Aumsville, Mt. Angel, Molalla, Scotts Mills, Stayton, Dallas, Monmouth, Independence, coastal communities, and beyond.
You’ll be greeted by our outgoing customer service team and quickly visited by one of our experienced pet nurses in order to triage your pet’s needs. Patients are seen in order of medical urgency, not unlike similar human hospitals, and we will do our best to keep you informed of our progress so you can go back to your normal activities. Our hospital is well equipped for the needs that your pet may have, including ultrasound, digital radiography, and laser therapy, can hospitalize your pet during the day, and are staffed and prepared to perform a long list of potential emergency surgeries.
Pet owners are welcome to walk in, but we much prefer a phone call in advance so that we can keep our team planning in the most efficient way!
We harness the scale and strength of our global network while acknowledging each individual's contribution. We work locally to improve the lives of all who interact with our brand.

Lionbridge provides over-the-phone and video interpretation services for non-English-speaking and American Sign Language (ASL) clients. In real time, veterinary providers can enlist an expert Lionbridge interpreter to facilitate a clear exchange of information between themselves and clients. Lionbridge’s on-demand, remote interpretation services enable effective and accurate communication with clients. This service empowers clients to be heard and spoken to in their own language, which in turn facilitates a deeper understanding of the care your pet needs.
