Sonya

Sonya earned her veterinary credentials through experience certification and brings over 20 years of industry experience as a technician, most of that time with VCA!

She shares her home with three dogs—Brody (a Pitbull mix), Ragnar (a Jack Russell mix), and Lina (a Chihuahua mix)—as well as a calico cat named Pixel. Originally from Castle Rock, CO, Sonya enjoys gardening in the summer, spending time with her family, and anything involving animals.

What Sonya enjoys most about her work is the variety of cases that come through the emergency department and the reward of seeing pets recover after arriving in critical condition. She has a special professional love for exotic animals, having worked in exotic medicine at previous places. She even worked on a veterinary team for the Denver Aquarium a few years ago—what an amazing experience!
