Other Boarding and Day Care Policies

  • A “day care trial” day must scheduled in advance for all new clients prior to first-time day care or boarding.
  • Boarding is charged per day and charges start on the day of check in. There is no charge for the last day of a boarding stay if pets are picked up by 2:00 pm.
  • For all pets’ safety, proof of vaccinations and negative fecal screening need to be sent to VCA Animal Wellness Center at least 72 hours prior to day care or boarding stays. If records are not received, VCA has the right to cancel reservations. Vaccinations should be completed at least 72 hours prior to pet’s day care or boarding stay to ensure they are fully protected.
  • If pets are on any supplements or medications, please bring them in their original containers. Please avoid placing pills or supplements in food bags, baggies, or pill dispensers.
  • Pets who are coughing, vomiting, have eye or nose discharge, diarrhea, or signs of anything that can be transmitted from one pet to another will not be able to be boarded.
  • We require 48-hour notice to cancel, or a 10 day notice for reservations over holidays, spring break and MEA weekend. Cancellation fees include a charge for the first day of a stay plus $10 for each additional day reserved for each pet.
