Crews are beginning construction on the I-45 bridge over Clear Creek, which will require some temporary lane closures. Nightly total closures of the main southbound lanes of I-45—between FM 518 and SH 96—will begin on Tuesday, January 24th, and end on Wednesday, February 8th. The lanes will be closed from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am on weekdays and from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am on weekends. Southbound traffic will detour via the FM 518 exit and re-enter I-45 via the entrance ramp south of FM 518. To keep southbound feeder road traffic moving during the closures, there will also be nightly total closures of the FM 518 intersection at I-45. Southbound feeder road traffic and eastbound FM 518 traffic will both take the feeder road to SH 96 and make a U-turn to return to FM 518 via the northbound feeder road. Off-duty officers will be on-site during these closures to help manage traffic.
