From an early age, growing up in Amityville, New York, my parents instilled in me a love for animals as well as a strong work ethic. Veterinary school was inevitable, as I was certain my dream job would combine my interests in both medicine and animals. Since receiving my degree in veterinary medicine from Cornell University in 1981, I have been a proud Oakland resident serving the pet owner community for over 30 years. My favorite aspects of veterinary medicine are meeting all of the different members of the community, and utilizing the latest technology and methods to extend and improve the lives of their beloved pets.
Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy skiing, biking, and spending time with my two sons, Simon and Eli, as well as my Shih Tzu, Lulu, and two cats, Penny and Moseph. It is my hope that, like my father, I can continue to do what I love well into my 80s (my father retired at the young age of 88).
