Dr. Foster grew up in Minnesota, went to veterinary school in Grand Cayman at St. Matthew's School of Veterinary Medicine, and finished her final year of vet school year at the University of Minnesota. She has always been interested in emergency medicine and started out her career at an emergency clinic in Maine, before coming to Wisconsin and finding her home at VCA MECA in 2014.
Dr. Foster enjoys surgery, critical care and working as a team to help sick animals heal and return home to their families. She looks forward to coming to work every day thanks to an amazing team who all have the same love for animals, enthusiasm for the work we do, and ability to work together to help an animal get better.
Outside of work, she likes to spend time at home with her husband, two dogs (Bodhi and Forrest), two cats (Maddie and Parker) and eleven chickens (Aspen, Cedar, Maple, Juniper, Willow, Fig, Myrtle, Laurel, Ash, Olive and Hickory). In the summer she can be found fishing, camping and hanging out with the chickens. In the winter she enjoys ice fishing, traveling to warm places, and relaxing by the fire.
