Lydia T.

Credentialed Veterinary Technician

Lydia is originally from Dayton, Ohio. She started working as a veterinary assistant in 2018 at a small animal and exotics hospital, and joined the VCA MECA team in 2025. She got into veterinary medicine because she wanted to be an advocate for those without a voice, and loves being able to educate owners on how to best care for their pets and answering all of their questions.

Lydia attended University of Kentucky, graduated from University of Cincinnati in 2019, then graduated from the Penn Foster veterinary technician program in 2022 and became a CVT. She worked in general practice for about four years, then made the move into emergency medicine in 2022, and much prefers the fast paced and versatile environment of the ER. Lydia spent a few years working and volunteering at the Cincinnati Zoo and has a special interest in exotic animal medicine. She has also been working with and riding horses all around the southwestern part of Ohio since 2008.

Lydia moved to Milwaukee in 2025, and has never felt more at home, especially when enjoying Lake Michigan. Her favorite hobby is horseback riding and coaching her riding students in Cedarburg. She has a Malinois mix named Tito and a draft cross horse named Guinness.
